Light Up Leederville Carnival

Sunday Dec 1 sees Oxford and Newcastle streets close as retailers, residents and entertainers reclaim the street revelling in all things Leederville.

Sunday December 1 sees Oxford and Newcastle streets close around the Leederville town centre between 12 and 8pm as retailers, residents and entertainers reclaim the street strutting their stuff and revelling in the things they love about their favourite town, Leederville.

Highlights include:
· Food Theatrics: Leederville foodies coming out of their stores and trading on the streets.
· A retro market will reclaim the streets of Leederville with all the retailers of the area trading outside their stores in a huge sale along Oxford Street, with close to 100 stalls selling vintage clothing to Henna tattoos.
· Carnival ‘Bus’ Stage: Local DJs spinning Funk/Soul/world beats from the roof of a double decker bus!
· Club Café – Quest for Leederville’s best Café competition.
· James Squire ‘Orchard Garden’ Festival bar.
· Turning on the lights ceremony by Mayor Hon. Alannah MacTiernan from 7:30-8pm.
· Buskers Ring - featuring street performers and circus acts live throughout the day.
· Central live band showcase at the Leederville Hotel.
· Roving street performers and entertainment all day.
· Leederville Land! Kids face painting, balloons, bouncy castle, fairies and more!
· Hip Hop Alley – graffiti piece on the Unison Shop wall, with DJs from The Manor playing all day.
· Leederville Hotel’s 115th anniversary celebrations, with entertainment in the Leederville Arena.
· YMCA HQ Skate Park Celebration with skate/scooter/BMX display, urban art workshops, basketball shoot-outs, DJ & live music.
· The Not-so Secret Garden featuring Leederville Club Café and Chill Zone.
· Art installations and live art throughout the township, showcasing Perth artists.
· Rickshaw rides to and from Ria to Kitsch bar!
· Biker’s station: Ride your bike into the festival and grab a coffee.
· Much, much more to be announced!

There will be retro furniture, umbrellas and shade provided.
